This book was a class book that we read during school in Mrs.Dubots class. At first i was thinking that the book wouldn't be good at all. This book is about a young boy the young boys name is jessie that doesn't have alot of money his hole life. Then one day he had gotten captured by these sailors after that he had no clue at all were he was. Those days he spent with the slaves he had relized that someone out there had a worst life then him.
This book was a very excelent book. I recomend everyone to read this book if you like to learn about how slaves lived and what everyone did on the boats to make money. The book isn't very long but it gets right to the point and goes by fast once you start reading it. The auther is Paula Fox a very good writer. If you guys like her then you should really read this book.

This is a bad thing that you have had this as your last book you've read. This book was interesting but i dont think it should be recomended to everyone, because not alot of people woul dlike it. The Slave Dancer was a book we shouldn't have had to read. I think you should have read another book like anout sports because this doesn't seem fit for you. I didn't find this book very interesting, maybe adults woul denjoy this, but it was interesting about the slaves like you said.
