Brisingr

The last book I read was a work of fiction titled "Brisingr", written by Christopher Paolini and distributed to the U.S. September 20th, 2008. This is the third book in a cycle of four, whereas the fourth has yet to be written. I read this book because it was part of one of my favorite series, and everyone knows books are very addictive when you get into a good series. I would highly recommend this book to any and all high fantasy/adventure enthusiasts. Hopefully everyone has the common sense to read the other two books; Eragon and Eldest; before reading the third book in the series...

This cycle of books weaves the epic story of Eragon Garrowson in his quest to unravel both the mysteries of his past and the meaning of his life. This tale of dragons, kings, magic, immortal foes and broken vows is sure to appease the hunger of even the most insatiable high fantasy enthusiast. Eragon meets many a friend and foe on his way, which both seek his guidance and give him aid; quite the shocker for our farm boy. The fights are brutal, the world is mysterious, and line between good and evil blurs in this magnificent piece of literature. Again, anyone with even a slight interest in swords and sorcery should pick up this series of books for an incredibly enganging, spectacular, and addictive read.
