The Men fromGlenngarry is a very good book. It is about a young man growing up in the world. This person is Ranald MacDonald. Ranald is hit hard by a death in his family. When he is young he is very confrontational. Then he falls in love. He travels aroud the newly formed Ottawa territory, showing bravery, wits and a weird way of always finding fights.
This book was not recommened to me. I just kind of picked it upan read it. I would recommend it to everyone who enjoys a good book. This book is very readable. It may be big and bulky but the pages fly by when you get into the book.
